Location: Mornington Crescent, Greater London House, NW1 Department: Internal Audit & Advisory Reports to: Head of Internal Audit
About the Team
The business is now looking to improve internal controls and governance to protect its value and set up for the next phase of its journey following a period of phenomenal growth. In the last 18 months, Internal Audit has been in-sourced and rebranded as Internal Audit & Advisory (IA&A) to support these improvements, help meet strategic objectives, and deliver added value. The newly created IA&A Team reports to the Audit Committee but functionally sits within Business Assurance & Resilience, which also includes experts in Risk Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Health & Safety, Insurance, and Compliance.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role within the IA&A Team, supporting the implementation, development, and operation of an aspiring best-in-class internal audit function. You will help to manage Group risks through identifying, planning, performing, and reporting on internal audits; and agreeing pragmatic and value add control improvements with management. You will also embrace our Team culture of continual improvement, managing the Tech audit universe, on-going risk assessment, setting and continually updating our Tech audit Plan, and helping to shape our internal processes. As the IA&A Teams SME for Tech internal audits, you will support the Team, and partner and work closely with senior stakeholders across Tech and the wider business to build effective collaborative relationships. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic, fast paced, and ambitious company where you will have plenty of opportunity to make your mark.
What Youll be Doing
Working with the IA&A Team to refine and deliver the IA&A Strategy and Roadmap, and to develop our Digital Strategy as we embed our in-house function
Driving the use of data analytics in the team to improve insight and value for our stakeholders; including through supporting and coaching colleagues to plan and deliver analytics across all our work and advancing our Digital Strategy
Responsible for delivery of end-to-end audits in line with the IA&A Plan, from planning to reporting, either directly or through intelligently buying and managing co-source resource where specific expertise is required
Delivering a range of other audit services including consultancy, project assurance, special projects (as required), and using agile auditing techniques to add timely value to the business
Agreeing and tracking control improvement actions with management, advising stakeholders over remediation to drive change, and preparing Audit Committee reporting
Providing subject matter expertise for the IA&A Team on system controls and technology project assurance work within other internal audits as required
Owning elements of the audit universe, on-going risk assessment, and IA&A Plan process including proposing audits and securing support from Tech management
Business partnering as a critical friend to deliver best practice control and governance advice to the business as it matures
Managing communications and building strong relationships across the Tech management team. Working collaboratively with your portfolio stakeholders to drive the internal control, assurance, and business maturity agendas forward whilst maintaining independence
Communicating data and analytics opportunities and bringing them to life in a way that others can understand and engage with, and that clearly link back to risks and business needs. This will involve adopting and embedding new tools, techniques, and methodologies
Striving for continual improvement, identifying areas where IA&A can be more effective and efficient, and sharing ideas with the Team as we take the function to the next level
An ambassador for Internal Audit as we embed and build the profile of the function within the business and bring our value proposition to life for our Stakeholders
Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Operations @ ASOS
Every single day I feel both supported and inspired! The constant flow of creativity within ASOS is contagious. It's cool to be encouraged to think outside the box.
I was initially drawn to ASOS as it is a reputable company with a culture that is unmatched. After joining ASOS I soon realised that just like the name, it was most definitely ‘As Seen On Screen’ – what you see is truly what you get. There are endless opportunities within the company with values embodying a culture of bringing your best self to work. I never feel as though I need to change to fit the status quo of the ‘corporate lifestyle’ but actually, I fit in more when I’m authentically being myself.
At ASOS I can bring my authentic self to work, you’re empowered to think different, innovate and do the things you love. ASOS is a fast paced, changing environment with fun at the heart of everything we do.
