Your Role

The Senior Video Manager at ASOS is a highly experienced and skilled videographer and editor and accountable for all visual video content. In this role, you will work closely with the Photography and Video team across both GLH and Leavesden studios on all BAU and creative projects, using your expertise as both a manager and a functional videographer/editor. With hands-on involvement in lighting design and visual execution, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, build strong relationships, and be a key figure in a variety of creative outputs, ensuring consistency and innovation in ASOSs visual output.

You will progress, develop, mentor, and inspire others to deliver the best assets in the industry while continually refining our offerings across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints. As manager, your passion is unmistakable, driving you to push boundaries, improve continuously, and inspire those around you. Your role blends inspiration, creativity, and delivery, underpinned by a deep understanding of our site and its customers. The Details

  • Content: You are a manager who manages the Video team for ASOS Creative Studio. Ensure that you can creatively deliver strategies central to the ethos of the team and be accountable for your output and your teams. Work with the Photography and Video Lead to assist in defining and building a structure that ensures we leverage the best talent and deliver our skill at scale.
  • Model direction: Own the delivery of high-quality model direction, ensuring authentic energy and engagement in every ASOS shoot. Youll set the creative tone, coaching your team to master model direction while fostering a confident, collaborative atmosphere. Through clear communication and refined techniques, youll empower models to deliver expressive, aspirational imagery that resonates with the ASOS audience.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Senior Photography Manager to ensure seamless aesthetic consistency between stills and video across all creative projects. You will align on visual direction, lighting, composition, and overall storytelling to create a cohesive brand identity. By maintaining clear communication and a shared creative vision, you will ensure that both video and photography complement each other, delivering a unified look and feel. Your role involves working together on lighting, set planning, shot execution, and edit to uphold ASOSs high standards and maintain a consistent, trend-driven visual language across all content.
  • Studio Management: Ensure the team maintains clean, organized, and efficient studios that meet expected standards. You will reinforce high levels of tidiness and operational readiness, creating a professional environment that supports seamless workflow and creativity. Through your leadership, all studios will uphold the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Lighting Design:As a Senior Video Manager at ASOS, you collaborate with your team and the photography team to shape lighting that aligns with the brands vision. You design setups that enhance composition, mood, and storytelling, ensuring every shot feels fresh and dynamic. Balancing creativity with efficiency, you select the right equipment and techniques to maintain consistency across campaigns while staying ahead of industry trends. Working alongside Photography, you adapt to challenges and push creative boundaries to deliver high-impact content that speaks to the ASOS customer.
  • Inspiration and Mentorship: As a self-sufficient senior manager and Videographer/Editor you inspire through doing, using your skill to work across Creative and BAU projects, continually developing the team by taking them on the journey with you, be an aspirational figure within the team and department. Champion delivery of all BAU and creative strategies and delivery models.
  • Evolution & Innovation: Continuously suggesting solutions to evolve our offering to ensure we have the most relevant lighting, kit and technology to deliver the best assets in the industry. ASOS Creative Studio are always on the leading edge of exploring new products, techniques, and technologies. You will be forward thinking in the testing and adoption of these by utilising the team in the most efficient way.
  • Delivery at scale: Work alongside the Photography and Video Lead to deliver all video projects and shoots. You will use your vast experience to ensure that every task is resourced with relevant skilled members of the team. Ensure we proactively prepare for the next creative, capacity or operational challenge. Continuously developing the team's skills to eliminate gaps and optimise resource efficiency.
  • Performance and Efficiency: Ensure team performance KPIs/SLAs are met and constantly identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Review product presentation shoot type performance to maximize revenue. You will work alongside the Lead to oversee relevant budgets, optimising their utilisation to leverage the maximum value and be accountable for all spend.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Reporting directly to the Photography and Video Lead, you will be tasked with overseeing all video output across the 200,000 products on the PDP, marketing campaigns, homepage, and social platforms, capturing images and developing lighting setups to enhance visual quality and consistency, as well as supporting the team on shoots as an advisory expert.
  • Working alongside the Photography and Video Lead for all aspects of the daily delivery and strategic planning of all Video work. As well has having a joint, holistic responsibility for the end-to-end process.
  • Alongside managing the Video team to deliver best-in-class creative content you will be a functional member of the team and will be expected to shoot and edit content. Continually setting benchmark content, utilising your expertise for all things Video and Editing. Drive to stay ahead of trends and competition, making ASOS the go-to place for fashion entertainment.
  • Drive operational excellence as well as creative flair in all interactions. Establish and uphold KPIs and SLAs that drive the delivery of the wider creative and delivery strategies. Ensure high performance across all the stages of the end-to-end process.
  • Collaborate across teams on multiple briefs for campaigns, products, trends and brands to deliver exciting, fashion-forward product moments our customers will love.
  • Be a constructive conduit for feedback. Always taking and giving feedback positively you are solution focused and push for speed of change. You translate this not only for own team, but other managers too. Always consider what could be improved.
  • Constantly manage and mentor you team and piers. You are a motivated figure who organises & galvanises the team into action. You remain proactive and positive in taking on task even if information is developing.
  • Work with internal partners and 3rd party suppliers to develop our delivery and creative offering. Leverage the maxim value from all relationships. Collaborate externally throughout the industry to explore new mediums and deliver innovative content to our customers.
  • Align and collaborate with the Photography and Video Lead to ensure the overall success of everything we do.
  • Deputise for the Photography and Video Lead for short- and long-term periods absence. You consistently apply your skill set and judgment to cover the roles and responsibilities.

About You

Technical & Creative Expertise:

  • Extensive experience as a videographer and video editor, particularly in fashion, retail, or e-commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting design, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in video production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Experience with studio and location shoots, including model direction and set planning.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality, trend-driven video content across multiple platforms (PDP, social media, marketing campaigns).

Leadership & Management:

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring video production teams.
  • Ability to inspire and develop creative talent while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple briefs, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with photographers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure a consistent brand aesthetic.

Operational & Commercial Acumen:

  • Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial goals, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and KPIs are met.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of emerging video trends, new production technologies, and industry best practices.
